How to Make Rosary

Cutting :

The material will be cut by a saw of a thickness of 0,3 – 1 mm in rough measures of the beads to be worked up.

Rolling up :

The materials in prismas shaped in form of rectangle is hold by hand between fingers and it will be hold to the turning emery until it takes the shape of a cylinder. It is a process that involves full cylinder shaping in order to avoid wastage of materials.

Drilling :

During the pieces turn in the lathe mirror by a cycle of 3500 in a minute they will be bored by a drill of caliber of 0.7mm(this caliber can be increased or decreased according to the dimension of the beads) By the boring of the amber vegetal oil must be spilled. By the material of the king of ivory and bone it can be bored without oil because oil causes losing of the design and color of ivory.

Working with lathe :

The most important point of beads producing is in this phase : At first it will be shaped at steel rod that is compressed to the lathe mirror by the aid of a file to five cornered conic mandrel. While the lathe mirror is turning this mandrel must be seen so as if it was not rolling , not secreting and nearly not turning. When the mandrel rolls with secretion the piece can not be processed so that the hole is in the center of the piece and when it is so strung to the string it will not stand orderly. The piece that is compressed on the mandrel can be shaped by a knife made of air steel. By the aid of a fixed caliper in fixed measure the dimension of the piece can be controlled frequently. At the same time by the aid of a free measured caliper the caliber can be measured. It will be provided that the error of the pieces to each other is null.

Polishing :

The pieces durak and imame which reached their measures will be polished in high cycle by a cloth that has been spilled by Kaol and is unfeathered.

String :

This is final phase of producing a rosary. It is not easy to string beads needs talent.
